This Privacy Policy explains how Transmit Security, Inc. (“Transmit Security,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses and shares your information. It relates to the information collection and use practices of Transmit Security in connection with our online services (“Services”), which are made available to you through our website (the “Site”) or when you otherwise interact with us.

Is there any Information on which this privacy policy does not apply?

Registered or Unregistered Users may post information using blogs and other similar features available through the Site. None of the information you post or provide using these features is protected by this Privacy Policy as that information is in the public domain.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, sign up for our newsletter or blog, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

To respond to your requests and to provide you with the Services;

To respond to your inquiries and contact you about changes to the Site, and/or the Services;

For any other purposes disclosed at the time the information is collected or to which you consent.

We do not sell or trade your personally identifiable information.

We may analyze your Personal Data in aggregate form, which does not identify you personally. We may share this aggregate data with our parent, affiliates, agents and business partners.

We, like many businesses, sometimes hire other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples include mailing information, maintaining databases, hosting services, and processing payments. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we provide them with the specific information that they need to perform their specific function, which may include Personal Data. They are governed by the same privacy policy.

If we or all or substantially all of our assets are acquired, we expect that the information that we have collected and/or received, including Personal Data, would be transferred along with our other business assets.

We may disclose your information to government authorities, and to other third parties when compelled to do so by government authorities, at our discretion, or otherwise as required by law. We also may disclose your information when we have reason to believe that someone is or may be causing injury to or interference with our rights or property, other users of the Services, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

How do we protect your information?

Transmit Security takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. In particular, e-mail sent to or from the Site may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail.

This website uses Google AdWords

This website uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example using the contact form to make an inquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Transmit Security website. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page or you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Do we use ‘cookies’?

We do not use cookies beyond their use in Google Adwords (as described above) or Google Analytics (which are session based cookies only).

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Internet Explorer) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser’s Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you disable cookies off, some features will be disabled that make your site experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly.
